Today, a memorial was unveiled to commemorate 400 men who drowned when the HMS Birkenhead sank off the coast of South Africa 162 years ago.

I found this on youtube the other day, it’s a scene from the 1950’s Ealing film ‘The Magnet’ and features a train journey on the overhead railway with Liverpool Docks in the background. I haven’t seen the full film, but I’ve just ordered it – looks interesting, particularly as it was filmed in Liverpool.
We filmed this a little while ago with the intention of doing some experimental animation, but actually it works quite well on it’s own.
