Thursday saw the unveiling of a new mosaic at the Eldonian Village Hall to commemorate the Merchant Navy. It was designed by Alan Murray and shows the links between the three cities, Liverpool, New York and Montreal.
A blue plaque was installed today on the premises of the New Capital restaurant in China Town that used to be Blue Funnel offices.

Noon on Sunday 15th April saw a ceremony to dedicate a plaque to honour all members of the marine engine room who have lost there lives while doing their duty. This was organised by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, North West Branch. See more here.
